Old Alresford place, Alresford
Old Alresford is currently used as the office for the Diocese of Winchester. The building had many leaks and damp areas as well as looking quite run down.
We were brought in to do a full external refurbishment. All windows, woodwork and water goods were renovated and redecorated. Many areas of the building had to be re pointed as well as most of the brickwork on the house was steam cleaned using a ThermaTech machine.
Roofing was a vital part of this job to stop the leaks. Four different roofing products where used to keep in keeping with the building as it stands which is grade II listed. New slate and clay tiles where replaced, a new Wolfin flat roof was installed, a new layer of asphalt roofing was installed on the balcony and lastly various smaller flat roofs had the roofing felt replaced.
